Fix one thing and three other things break
So I finally took truck to the local junyard this weekend for a shake down run, since changing the broken leaf spring. I also changed the transmission vacuum modulator on the th400 and what a difference this made in power going down the road. If you feel like you truck is a dog you might want to look into a new trans vacuum modulator. It does shift a little harder from first to second, it also seems to hit 2500 before it will shift from second to third. If I let off gas then shifts are a little smoother. I am not stomping on gas by no means and still get some harder shifts. I can live with that for now not to big of a deal. On the way home the truck starting idling rough and actually died. It seems to be loading up and running rich according to O2 gauge. I changed fuel filter I have an external wix universal metal fuel filter set up instead of filter inside of q-jet. I sprayed carb cleaner down air tube as well pour some fuel injector straight in vent tube. I took some scrap metal to local recycle center and truck ran a lot better at idle. I would turn truck off and unload scrap and fired right up with just the turn of the key. I stopped about 4 different stops and fired right up. Well I get home and go to move truck and I had to hold pedal down to get it to start. I am going to lean out idle mixture screws and see if this helps from carb loading up at idle. The other things that happened negatively was the oil pressure gauge is pegged high, the temp sensor stopped working and only one speaker from amp is working. This truck is testing my patience. I did spray paint all the needles the same color.
