See the suspension area of the forum... then open up your wallet.

Re: WHAT IS THE BEST AIR BAG SETUP FOR A 67 sb
There is no "Best air bag set up". Simply because your definition of a good ride and mine are different. We have different budgets, We use our trucks differently, and we have different skill sets when it comes to installation. There are good products, not so good products, and bad products out there. Some will things work in one application and not in another. The key for you to have a system that satisfies your needs and puts a smile on your face is doing in depth research. Like going to a truck event and talking to folks who have lived with them for a while to find out what they would have done different.
Unfortunately the air bag industry has had its share of shoddy vendors over the years and they are still coming and going. So it pays to know who makes good products. My Burban is on bags and it was a cheap set up when I got it and many things had to be upgraded. Even doing lots of things myself it was still well over $1500 to make it into a viable system. And I still need to shorten the front bad seats to help dial the ride height and ride quality in better. Not to mention the yearly leak I have to conquer. Air bags are not in my opinion a one and done item. Cornerstone is correct about lurking in the suspension forum. Start searching for build threads with bagged trucks. There is a lot to be learned there. If you are interested here is a link to my Burban repair thread. Just scroll down to post 136 and the air bag story starts and continues on for many pages. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...=698377&page=6

Re: WHAT IS THE BEST AIR BAG SETUP FOR A 67 sb
I'm doing my 67 SB right now but going lower than you. About a 6/8 ride height. I agree that it's almost a specific configuration for each truck and driver as to what's the 'best'. The rear is pretty straight forward for you with 2500 bags and the mounting brackets on top. Maybe a 2600 would work better for a 4" drop. To achieve only 3" drop in the front I'd say you can get away with a plate on the top and a plate on the bottom with a taller bag. My mistake has been assuming all 2600 bags were about the same dimensionally but they're not. For example and Airmaxx 2600 max height is 9" while a AirLift 2600 is 12.5. That's the difference between working and not working in my set-up. Do your research and measure YOUR truck to find out what will work for you.

Re: WHAT IS THE BEST AIR BAG SETUP FOR A 67 sb
The research part can be lots fun. Although I think the old lady is on to me when I say I have to look into something for the Burban and I go to a car show.
It sounds like your looking for a similar amount of drop as I have. It is definitely the easiest (read cheaper) way to go. As I said I'm still working with the height vs PSI to get it perfect and part of that involves a redesign of my bump stop/steering stop. One of the interesting facts I discovered is how +/-5 PSI can make quite a difference in ride quality. So my plan is to slowly trim the cup down until I reach the perfect point. Enough of my rambling. Enjoy your project and I hope you do a thread so us folks can follow along.
