Suburban rear frame notch
Has anyone done a notch on their Suburban? Not looking for anything that will require cutting the floor, just need to keep the axle from hitting the frame so frequently. I assume I will have to make one, which isn't hard, but wanting to see if anyone has done it for inspiration.

Re: Suburban rear frame notch
I would think a truck notch would work, frame is real similar around the axle area.

Re: Suburban rear frame notch
It's actually not, it dips down sooner towards the rear and also has a body mount to contend with.

Re: Suburban rear frame notch
Why couldnt you build your own? Use some pipe or square tube.... the pipe would weld in, give you a 3"? half moon opening above axle... or sq tubing that you can box in.... its basically just a baby notch 3" would do wonders to stop the bottoming out... add some neoprene bump stops as well ...
Just a thought... and yeah Burb and Blazer rear frames are diff than trucks |
