Factory windshield options? Green, clear, banded? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know clear was an option and the soft ray (green) was an option. Was a banded top a factory option, and if so, for clear or green or both? Was there other options as well? The aftermarket has gray tints, etc. Just wondering what I could do and stay period correct.

Clear was standard and tinted was optional. It came with the A/C option automatically but could be ordered alone. Safety Plate for clear and Soft Ray for tinted. Back then tinted meant green. All the other tints came along later. Shaded is a later thing, so only replacements have that.
