I've got a rusty cab and am about to start rust repair. Do you know of any builds (with a build thread ideally) that started with a particularly rusty cab? The more progress pictures the better!

depends on how much time and money you want to tie up in it...
I would really assess how bad it is vs getting a good donor cab..i know yall are limited up north though so thatd be a tuff call

if the fire wall seam is puffy / back of cab at the bottom were the line of spot welds goes all the way across / window openings checked with glass and rubber out / or major floor work i say find another cab .

patches and rockers and corners are easy . the rest is major work on a already chunky skeleton of a cab thats got problems from the inside out .

this mid 80's cab was clean around the windshield with the glass and rubber inplace still . after it was all pulled and the cab media blasted bare i found this .

thats firewall and top right pass side corner of windshield frame and few other spots around . just to give you a idea of how to check for a solid cab . the firewall area was pass side upper cowl by the 81-91 hood hinge mount and then the firewall by the gas pedal area .

then i patched in some repairs to make her solid again . and only 1/3 section of each cab corner was needed .

yes this was minimal work but still shows how it can be hiding in areas and what to expect .

and this is how clean my cab is from the bottom . showing how solid of a cab i started with .

Rust is directly proportional to one of two things: your sheetmetal/welding skills or the fatness of your wallet.

Super rusty.

Looks abandoned in National city Ca never seen one rust thru the A pillars like this.

I have a 75 cab I am working on. Inner/outer rockers kick panel etc. Nothing too crazy. There are very few videos I can find on this. Unlike 67-72 that has hundreds of build videos. Milkcrate on youtube is a good one. I am trying to figure out if the inner rocker goes all the way to to the edge of the cab mount. I have seen it go to the end and on some just cover the 1 flange on others
