Sheet metal is pretty cheap. You could probably go to a heating/air conditioning place and tell 'em what you want and they'll cut for you.

I saw a couple of post's quite a while back with pics about a heater delete plate that was offered by GM when a customer requested that the heater not be installed.
I would think that this would have only been available to customers that were ordering their vehicle.
I am not sure why and I wonder
What would be in place of the vents that are on the top of the dash?
What would go in place of the control panel on the dash?

A lot of people smooth their firewall's with fabricated metal and they do look nice.
Some even have shaved the channel near the cowl for an even smoother look.

From past conversations, I've gathered that the complete original heater delete setup fetches some $$$, has plates that go everywhere to fill all the holes left.

do you have any better pics, Rod? not like I am ever considering taking the heater out of my truck since I live in Ohio, but I'd be interested in seeing the panels for the firewall and heater control.
