Neptune Green paint formula

Any idea where I can find the formula for 703 Neptune Green? Is it the same as 503 Glenwood Green? My paint guys having a hard time finding it. Thanks

I googled 703 Neptune Green. Your paint guy needs to learn some google fu!

With the Ditzler paint code he should be able to look it up for the mix?

I used the ppg code for Neptune green at my local paint supply shop and it isn’t correct . It came out more of a blue green . I was just painting the firewall and few touch up areas . Then I took a cowl piece into another paint shop and they matched it perfect to the original green . I’ll check the numbers when I get home

Here’s a couple pics of the fenders I had to paint and match up to the rest of trucks original paint . It’s pretty close to the original compared to the old code I initially used on the firewall .

Here is the 703 green I had mixed up the first pic. Like I said it an earlier post it was off and had a blue green tinge too it . Then I had another shop tint match my cowl panel and he came up with this formula the last two pics. Looked close enough for me as it’s a patina truck

I'm not sure why this color is so hard to find. Wonder if any others are this difficult.
I may go with 63 Glenwood Green if I can't get it right. It's close to Neptune.

Right under PPG, Ditzler, Dupont etc (on the right side) are the paint codes for that year. If your paint guy cant understand them, you need a new paint guy.

What might have happened is the paint shop might have used the wrong year formula to mix your paint. As an example the 1960 Neptune 703 green PPG code number is 42693 and for 1961 the code is 42698, and according to a friend of mine who paints, they are indeed two different shades. I have ran into the same confusion for my 1964 C10 in 503 Light Green. In 1962 and 63 code 503 was called Glenwood Green. This changed to 503 Light Green for 1964, 65 and 66. Code 503 in 1962, and 63 was PPG code 42977 and 1964,65 and 66 it is PPG code 43244. They are indeed different shades. I also got paint that doesn't match my original and upon investigating I got 1963 Glenwood Green instead of 1964 Light Green. Same GM color code 503 of course, but different PPG code numbers. In the late 60's 67,68 and 69 the Light Green 503 PPG code was 43523. After that it gets confusing. lol. I guess the bottom line is make sure what year paint you are actually getting, at least that is my takeaway on this.
