Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

Looking at a Cheyenne Super and never came across a SPID like this! It calls out Parchment interior but no exterior paint code. Truck presents itself as an original 524 Hugger orange with upper and lower side molding. It shows complete parchment interior including headliner.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

Black inner glovebox makes me scared, but the weird options on that spid! Never seen anything like it and still no truck color.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

What is the RPO number On the lower left ?
It’s hard for me to see on my cell phone
If it says 524. It is a hugger orange truck
But the person typing the spid fell asleep

Doesn’t it say z84 before ‘Cheyenne Equip’
Which means it is/was a Cheyenne
Not a super

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

My Flint K20 is a hugger orange parchment interior truck and it has a black GB door. Many other examples in the scheme some have black AC vents others like mine do not.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

I’m pretty sure 516 isn’t hugger is it? 516 is tangier orange I believe. I thought hugger was 524... atleast I’m pretty sure it was on the hugger c10 I had. If that’s the case somehow some one didn’t put the hugger print in but the code is right.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

If I had to guess, that's a 71 not a 72 because it calls out both the Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super options like my 71. It appears that whomever printed the SPID was having a bad day but it looks like a legitimate SPID.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

After looking at the clear version of it that’s a pretty wild spid. Looks like it’s a super going by the woodgrain even though it lists both Z84 and YE9, but interesting none the less. Engineer Greg might be into something.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

After looking closer
It is definitely an odd spid
Many options that are standard on Supers are called out
Tilt is not

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

EDIT: Ok, I'm gonna change my original guess of an Oshawa truck to St Louis...
St Louis built 72, true Super, solid Hugger, with 1st 7 of VIN = CCE142S

Here's a good SPID for comparison, lots of similarities (Z84+YE9 - and in the same SPID locations), several base listings, including the DG6 OSRV, black gb door in a hugger interior with parchment trim, etc):

(Have to admit, I'm dying to see what that original D99 Special Two Tone on this truck "really" looked like, or if it actually even meant anything in St Louis - I "think" this is member John H's old SPID?? There was a thread on this topic if I recall and the disconnect was that there was a proper Deluxe Two Tone RPO for the paint, but then the separate D99 Special Two Tone RPO - and "Special Two Tone" was a 69-70 phrase/description only. Very odd, but very interesting). My guess, here I go guessing again... is that "D99 Special Two Tone" was a St Louis only naming convention for the two tone paint divider trim, and the actual paint scheme applied was indeed the normal 71-72 deluxe two tone.

Re: Cheyenne Super SPID Question???

It’s certain no one would ever forge a spid like that so it has to be legit

A logical conclusion about and illogical SPID.

You still have me lol.

Why would they state upper and lower trim on a Super?

ItÂ’s a Super and a Cheyenne?

What is base equipment front and rear stated 2x.

What about the GVW tag option?

Is it supposed to have an RV mirror on drivers side only?

Thank you! I hope the bottom of the truck isn’t as bad as I suspect from pictures.
