1980 center dash speakers ?
Looking to put dash speakers in my 80 truck and was wondering which ones work with little modification. Nothing crazy, have a small amp and 6x9,s in the rear. Just want to get some sound up front without cutting holes in the door or making kick panel speakers. I did a search but only one just below this thread. Most are for the newer dash.

Re: 1980 center dash speakers ?
I has been a *long* time since I used to work on these in the 80s and 90s but I think the opening in the metal is the same pre and post 81.
We used to go with a single 4x10 or a pair of 3.5" or 4" on a custom made plate. |

Re: 1980 center dash speakers ?
81+ has both center and stereo spots. 73-80 *I believe* only has center. I had a 79 Jimmy which had center but also had the rare door pods (that were almost useless)
