Q: Anybody have a Custom '69 Grill

I am going to have a custom billet grill made for my '69 chevy that will fit in the inserts. Does anybody have any pics or any knowledge about this? Thanks, Darin

You are planning on keeping the OE outer grill and just sliding the billit grill between the two openings?! Cool. I have heard of this, but not seen it. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.
My billit grill just screwed in (from the bottom) and used little 'Z' shaped brackets to bolt it at the top on my 71-72 grill. I would imagine that you could do this similar on a 69-70 grill. SInce the grill is horizontal above and below where the "chevrolet" is, would be easy to run some small screws to hold it in place.

Good luck!!!

I think you have to cut up a 71-72 billet grille to achieve that effect (picture above) or even to do it to a 69-70 grille...

That is really similar to what I want to do but for a 69-70 grill. As far as bolting it on I would make it so it screwed into the factory holes for the insert. I am just trying to think of ideas that I really don't see to much

I am looking into grills myself I just found that picture not to long ago on another thread. I don't know much about it. I am in the same boat as you guys on where to get and how they attach. I was hoping the owner of that truck or someone who has one would help also.
I am looking toward the Phantom grill myself but the one I showed is very nice also but my truck is a 72.
