Dana 44 front axle truss

As title says. I needed a few for my trucks so made extras. Believe I got 8 left but can make more if needed. $250 plus shipping and PP fees.
I made 12 more fronts. Link for 12 bolt rears in post. If you buy a front and rear combo 225 on the front to help out with shipping
Last pic is one I installed on my k10. Fit nicely.

I’m working on them. Waiting on u bolts and when I get a solid pattern I’ll make a few. Like to move these first but everybody wants to ship a front and rear to save cost and I understand that

Will the rear be for a 12 bolt?

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss

OK help me out here. I've never seen these before. What is their purpose? I'm having some steering issues with my 70 K10 and are intrigued by these.

They have nothing to do with steering issues. It’s just under bracing, meant to prevent the axle from bending under hard use. Or in this case to look the part of an old school truck

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss

I put them on for looks. I guess they were designed for western Baja races back in the day to help with axle tube bending. Some say they work others say no. I say they look super cool

Mainly for off-roading?

If your running bigger tires these will help . The price is pretty cheap too. Normally they sell for 250.00 to 300

I tried to make a dana 60 one but there isn’t enough clearance in the knuckle for a u bolt since the shafts are much bigger.

I couldn’t come up with a rear truss I was happy enough to sell. And I sold the last front truss I had a few months back. I won’t be making any anytime soon. Sorry I couldn’t help.

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss

ok guys it seems everytime some one gets the itch to build the rear trusses they tank and our hopes and dreams of finding one (rear truss) get dashed and we go back to hopeing we MIGHT finally get our hands on one that somebody gets off a builder and he dumps it for dirt cheap. I recall another gentleman mid dunes was his member name I think, anyone hear that ???? HEMI you've been here quite awhile you heard anything from him ?? I have a front truss from GO RHINO but have not found the rear. Again like hens teeth. Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss

Rear axle trusses have always been uncommon. You mostly saw 4wds running the front truss only.

Will these work with the closed knuckle or just the open?
