Tranny Service Question
1972 C10, long bed, turbo 350. Before this old body jacks it up & crawls under there (& then tries to get back up) - can I get to all the transmission pan bolts without moving the crossmember or other stuff around? Thanks

Re: Tranny Service Question
Yes it should be fine. See photo of mine. I used a 1/4" drive set to get the pan bolts off. No real problem with the ones on the back of the pan.

Re: Tranny Service Question
Unless something other than factory has been added you got a clear shot to the pan and bolts.

Re: Tranny Service Question
The crossmember won't get in the way of the bolts. However, I would loosen two bolts at the back side (nearest the crossmember) first and then remove all the others. Let the front end swing down toward your catch pan to drain, then remove the two remaining bolts.
