WTB 1970 DG4 Mirrors

Hello all! One of the things my truck is missing is its mirrors. It had the DG4 mirrors at one time and I'm now realizing that they are hard to find. I bought two different sets of mirrors (one original set and one reproduction set) as a gamble and neither set worked. I'm hoping someone on here has a set that would work on my '70 GMC and that they would be willing to part ways with them. I attached pictures of the wrong set that I bought and the holes that are in my door. Thank you in advance!

You are correct. They are hard to find. There are a couple of different styles as far as the mounting of the upper arm. Maybe someone on here has a pair.

Here are a couple of threads that show the two different styles. The first post with the instructions are what you need the second post is the other style.

Post #s 13 and 14 here show what you need. Note the lower supports go below the upper molding to join the door and the short upper support has a 90 degree bend where it abuts the door: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=7646102

Re: WTB 1970 DG4 Mirrors

Thanks all. I pray someone on here has a set that they would be willing to part ways with. I'm missing both of them and would like to find a factory correct set to avoid getting a fix-it-ticket as Nebraska requires mirrors.

Re: WTB 1970 DG4 Mirrors

Here’s what I have. Imo these are correct OEM examples but please look them over. One chrome arm is so so but the chrome is not flaked off. Assortment of hardware with three correct screws to attach to the door. The one mirror has glue residue from an added convex mirror that I suspect would clean off.

I can sit on these if you want to see what others might have on offer.

Those look like they would work perfectly. I’ll happily take those off of your hands.

You can order the mirror heads new. I ordered new mirror heads for my 72' DG4 mirrors, and they look the same.
