Hood latch cable install
I know this is a pretty dumb question, but how the heck do I install the hood release cable into the latch on a 1985 C10? I know it goes through this clip, just can't figure out how.

This may help some. Go to about the 3 min mark, he’s showing the cable attached to the latch. I didn’t watch the whole video, so he may actually go over how to replace the cable.

I have always just clicked it down and just behind the tab . Keeps it from popping off to easy .

Got it in, thank you. I was overthinking it. I broke the tab on my original latch when removing the cable so I thought it went in different. Now on to the other 100 things to do...
