Re: 1985 k20

Is that a factory combo? What was the last year for the long bed stepside?

Re: 1985 k20

Nice pickup!

I was jealous until I saw the "4-SPD. AUTO. TRANS."

I tried to order a K/20 stepside with 292-6 and manual 4 speed in 1980 but they wanted about $3K extra over anything sitting on the lot

Great looking K20! Love the step side... I'll have to keep an eye out for it driving around MA.

Re: 1985 k20

was looking on line for a 72 C20.... found it on craigslist in western Ohio..guy worked for freight liner and got in in North West Louisiana. I liked it brought it home and did a frame up
truck was 99% rust free.. small bit under windshield . lots of dents... new hood and fenders
someone clipped fenders for 33" tires. also cut out hole for din stereo ( sinners!!) had it professionally painted inside and out to original factory color . i was going to put my welding body on it . but i went overboard with it Rebuilt original 350 , little cam . but pretty much stock. only thing left is new springs and some vacuum lines. everything else is done

Re: 1985 k20

New OME hood, fenders, tailgate , the rest was body work. new interior from USA1. i like their stuff more as i installed it..door panels were already put together just bolt on straps and install. retro sound system ......iI found the hardest thing to do was carpet install by myself... always moved on the other side...a saturday and sunday walking from side to side

Re: 1985 k20

it came up from down south 3 years ago .. Ive had it for 2 1/2 +. 138,000 miles R700 trans and transfer case rebuilt 20,000. rebuilt motor replaced carb with quadrajet..did put edelbrock intake and comp cam.. the rest is stock . i was told that it lived its life between Alabama and North West Louisiana . the under carriage and every nook and cranny
was coated with mud... think thats what kept it rust free... was really hard to clean it all off
two owner truck

Of course. I just havent seen many LWB steppers from the 80s. It's certainly somewhat rare whereas in the mid 70s not as much.
