69 Chevy C10
Well.... it’s happening. In 1969 my nana ( dads mom), bought a brand new c10 off the lot. My dad acquired it and things happened and he wasn’t able to finish it much less start it. It’s been gone from our property for probably close to 15 years. When my dad got cancer a few years ago he mentioned if something happened he would never see it done and on the road again. That was my “Que”, it’s been in the works and tonight I secured it. We are picking up my nanas truck this Saturday and bringing her home.... it’s going to be a long process as I’m not made of money, but I am my daddy’s girl and I do have heart! Any tips, tricks, would greatly be appreciated, heck even donations! I was raised a grease monkey, and I couldn’t be more excited to get my hands dirty so my dad can have his dream truck for just a little while. ❤️
I will post photos as soon as I get it home Saturday! We can’t wait to start this!!!! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 69 Chevy C10
Not sure of your experience doing a large build like this, but I think most of us started our build in a shape close to this, some a bit worse, some a bit better, either way, just take it one step at a time, set up small goals and do not try to rush it. If there is something you are unsure of, ASK on here, lots of great help from lots of great people!
I would suggest you have in mind what kind of build you want, stock, your way, high performance, race, cruiser, show, fun ...... lots of choices but the choice will guide your build and depending on how you do it, guide your pocket book.... lol ALSO as mentioned before..... PICTURES and lots of them!!! Everything, how it was, how it is mounted, direction it is mounted, what came off first.... and so on. I have done 2 of these and damn do i have ALOT of pics, i am past the hundreds now... lol I may be a bit crazy... lol If you need parts, ask and look on here for used. If you want new parts, look up the vendors on here - Lots of them and great suppliers, then look at Classic Industries, LMC, Brothers Truck, The Truck Shop, Speedway, Summit, Classic Parts, Jegs, hope that helps some.... Welcome and cannot wait to see more of your build come along.
