Fragola Push-lite system
I am wanting to run some radiator/tranny cooler lines that will be simple to disconnect - not looks. This system is a lot more reasonable that most others I have looked at.
Its rated up to 250psi and up to 300f well within what the tranny will put out. I'm about convinced that most ls conversion radiators have problems - just pick one and search on it. I am about to try my 3rd radiator and need to replace or 'extend' the existing barb rubber hoses which are leaking. Tight clamps and heat make the hose just about impossible to remove without destroying the ends. Anyone have any experience with this system? Thanks |

No experience but I had to look it up to see what it was. I checked out Summits page on it. Looks pretty bullet proof to me. https://www.summitracing.com/search/...+D+-+L+(Search) On another note, I used my stock radiator when I put the LS1/4l60e in my '67 Panel Truck and have had no issues with it. The radiator I had, had a heater hose outlet on it, up towards the top and I connected the LS steam port hose to that. LockDoc

Re: Fragola Push-lite system
I don't have any experience with those particular fittings, but parker push lok is the same concept. It had been used in many different automotive applications. The push on lines can be easily replaced.
I'm my research, the drawbacks are that there is no ethanol-proof hose, the cut end is not as resilient, and they are very sensitive to heat. If you can properly size for a radiator, probably a great choice. I think a trans cooler might be a little suspect. if you measure the outlet temp on the trans, it could be really close to the limit. |
