Re: 57 chevy truck heater core
I modified a new 1966 c10 heater core for my 59 GMC. Just make sure you get a copper one. Rockauto shows out of stock on the copper.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/APDI-901008...sAAOSw9ClcsWyB $50 if you are capable of modifying it or having it modified.. It is the same core and top. Between the old one and new you have all the parts you need.

Re: 57 chevy truck heater core
The Filling station wants 180 with a 4 week turn around for a rebuild. I found a copper and brass one at classic industries but they want 300. https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...ts/ap7293.html
Just finding a shop that will recore one these days is a big deal. We have one what I would call a real radiator shop in the area now and they are swamped. The heavy truck and equipment side keeps them busy even if they never see anything for small trucks or cars.
