Can anyone tell me where the factory a/c harness plugs into the fuse panel? I have a new m&h harness. Thanks

The 12 ga. Orange wire plugs in the fuse box terminal marked "cig lighter".. Remove existing fuse and replace with 25 amp fuse..

There's a pretty good discussion about factory A/C wiring and how it works on this thread.. Also, someone posted a nice factory A/C schematic..

Are we talking about a pink wire in the A/C harness or in the cab main harness?? There is no pink wire in the factory A/C harness.. In the stock main harness or a correct color coded in cab replacement harness, the pink 12 ga. wire feeds the power from the ignition switch to the bulkhead connector where the ignition resistor wire is connected on the engine bay side.. On the way to the bulkhead connector, it branches off and goes to the fuse panel..

Typing out a description of where each wire in a harness connects can be a lengthy and complicated process.. I suggest you get a color wiring diagram to aid you in this project.. Go to the electrical forum and download a diagram..

Re: 72 c10 a/c wiring harness

I'm talking about the pink wire in the AC harness. I just contacted m&h the manufacturer and they told me that it sounds like I have a 1971 harness that included the anti dieseling relay as part of the AC harness only found in 1971. My truck is a 1972. Thanks for the help fellas.

If I recall correctly the 72 AC harness has the TCS (transmission controlled spark) wiring with it.
Found a thread with the TCS wiring https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...&highlight=TCS It does use a pink wire
