Moving a large camper with my stepside.
I just need to move it about 50 feet. Would this camper fit in a shortbed stepside good enough to move it?

Re: Moving a large camper with my stepside.
Probably.
I once moved my ~30' single axle house trailer from one spot to another where I was storing it with my 65 short stepside six cylinder. It was pretty squashed down in the back from the tongue weight. The trailer had been sitting there a while and I had to pop the tires out of the holes in first gear. Now I'm not sure why...? Maybe I had already sold the big GMC, or maybe it was still there too and I didn't want to fight to get it started after sitting there a while. There was a whole bunch of stuff that I finally had to liquidate after I went back to school mid-life. Also I had a buddy that moved an 8' cabover a few miles on a stepside pickup bed trailer. I can't remember if it was long or short bed, but it was really tippy!

Re: Moving a large camper with my stepside.
Will it fit between the bedsides?

Re: Moving a large camper with my stepside.
You need to measure the base that goes into the bed. If it wider than 4 feet it may not fit. Haven't measured mine but I seem to recall the bed is 50 or so inches

Re: Moving a large camper with my stepside.
Good point. I'll see if I can get a measurement tomorrow.
