Is This A Long Or Short Water Pump?
After 50 million trouble free miles, my Shuck's (O'Riley's now) rebuilt water pump is telling me it's time for a replacement...drip...drip...drip.
It has been so long that I really don't remember what length it is. Just so I don't look like an idiot at the parts store could you tell me? ...notice the cool double hump heads with accessory holes. Disregard the grease. |

Re: Is This A Long Or Short Water Pump?
Do you have any idea how difficult it's going to be for Mr. Goodwrench here to get a tape measure under that pulley?
I was thinking somebody could tell from the alt. location or the arm length. Anyway, who's running an aluminum pump like an Edelbrock or Weiand and how do you like it? Don't need a high volume one as my stock one was cooling nicely when it wasn't leaking. |

Re: Is This A Long Or Short Water Pump?
OK thanks, long it is.
I did a little research on aluminum water pumps, the Edelbrock ones are nice, especially the polished up ones $$$! Then I looked at the picture of my engine compartment and decided that some O'Riley's iron rebuild would work just fine too. It lasted a long time last time anyway. |
