matching hot wheels?
Maybe this should be in gen discussion? How much would you pay for a matchbox car that looked just like your truck? I have a friend that says he knows a guy that will make a truck just like mine for $175.

ive heard of people that will do it for about that to franklin mint models if youve got one of their kind of vehicles but i think $175 is way out of line

For a matchbox??? All you really have to do is change the wheels, lower it, and paint it. I've made 1:24/25 scale plastic models to match people's cars that included detailed suspension, interior, engine, etc. I just asked them to pay for the materials, but if I was to charge I'd never go higher than about $50.

That's a 175 bux id spend on something cool for my truck rather than on a toy that's gonna collect dust.
Beside's year's ago i got the hotrod revell model kit it look's just like my truck except it's got the older style front end on it., It's even got a 350 TPI Eng. in it I think i gave about 5 bux for it @ wally world. |

I've actually got a 1986 4x4 Suburban in HO scale for my R.R. It's got a tailgate like mine, but is 4x4 and 2-tone white with red sides.
Still, it's pretty cool. Now, if I could only get back into railroading. I had to cut up my old layout-- no room...
