Removing dual saddle fuel tanks...!?
Evening everyone!
The beast has the aux tanks and selection valve but, at some point the bed filler door was removed and plated over and the selection valve has begun to leak. So...I believe I am going drop the tanks and remove the valve. If I do this is there anything in the way of changes needed for the cab tank line to fuel pump?, other than a new fuel line? Or, if the line is good install a shutoff valve in place of the selector for semi-hidden theft deterrent. Tapping the tanks results in a nice crisp ring so I think they are empty. (71 C10) |

Re: Removing dual saddle fuel tanks...!?
My 70 had saddle tanks when I got it. Before I got it running I just got new rubber hose takes less than a foot and hooked the tank straight to the factory fuel line on the frame. Added a fuel filter between them too. The selector is still there just cut all the lines off of it.
