Serpentine/Sander AC Compressor Conversion

Hi, AC sanden compressor/ serpentine conversion question. 1986 chevy truck SB, 350HO 330 GMPP engine, converting to serpentine belt system using GM truck take-off. Want to use sanden compressor.
1). What year serpentine take-off set ups accept sanden compression ( can a pan cake serpentine set-up use sanden, e.g. 93). Any better sanden units- upgrades
Thanks,

Re: Serpentine/Sander AC Compressor Conversion

This is just me, but I have not seen a factory serpentine setup that used or could fit anything other than the pancake style compressor. Aftermarket (or the GM performance one) may do it, but I have not seen one myslef.

Re: Serpentine/Sander AC Compressor Conversion

They offered pancake style in serp belt and r134 gas setup .

Also you could go 96-00 truck vortec and get the newer 4 bolt top mount a/c comp setup .

Re: Serpentine/Sander AC Compressor Conversion

pancake bracket, then an adapter to run a sanden. its pretty easy to adapt yourself with spacers. the 96up ones tend to leak in the center.

Re: Serpentine/Sander AC Compressor Conversion

also a 90's jeep wrangler has a sanden compressor. depending on the year you can get it with or without serpentine pulley. pretty cheap on ebay.
