Needing a new right side fuel tank for my 1988 K30 single cab dually...
Sure are lots of choices, not sure of the gallon capacity. Anyone gone thru this process and ordered the right tank? Care to share where and how much?
Thanks |

I put 2 - 20 gallon tanks on my 88 from RockAuto. They were under the Lilan Global brand, pn IGM1C, but made in Canada and are the exact same as the well known Canadian tanks. At that time, that was the only place / brand that I could find two tanks in stock. Had to get sending units from Brothers Truck parts, as they were the only ones to have both units in stock. Picked up the EP381 pumps at local parts house. I use the Vortec pumps on tbi engines because the tbi pumps barely flow enough for a 350, much less a 454

Thanks for the info on the tanks, they have them in stock. Plus the fuel pump tip is one I didn’t know about, not enough increased pressure to blow off any hoses or burst any lines?
Thanks again! |

Re: Needing a new right side fuel tank for my 1988 K30 single cab dually...
We’ve been running the “Vortec” pumps since the late 90s on our (mine, my brother and my father’s) TBI trucks without a single issue.
I bought a pair of tanks for my diesel 84 k1500 from AM Autoparts and they seem to be of decent quality too. I’ll try to remember to look at one of the boxes to see if there is any information on them as to origin (they are 16 gal, and only place that had two in stock when I ordered) Last edited by 44th Miss Inf; 01-02-2021 at 09:35 AM. |

Spectra premium brand is all i run. Used a cheeper tank 1 time for a s-10 fix for a friend and the quality sucked.
