1970 K10 Cardan Front Driveshaft

Hey I'm rebuilding the front driveshaft on my 70 Suburban and looking for replacement U Joints. Has anyone done this and can tell me if all 3 U joints are the same? Looking at both Rockauto and Advance Autoparts and can't tell them apart.

Thanks

Paul

They should all be the same, Denny’s driveshaft can set you up with everything including the centering yoke for the upper cv shaft.

Northern Drivetrain should have everything you need too- they're a Spicer and Neapco supplier

They should all be a 1310 u-joint and check the pivot shaft and ball assy closely for wear

Re: 1970 K10 Cardan Front Driveshaft

Thanks guys I was able to order the Moog universals and the pivot shaft.

Next question and hopefully I can explain it. On the front slip yoke there is a cap that holds the grease in the splines. When you remove the yoke you have to unscrew the cap. Inside of the cap is a seal of some sort. What is the seal called?

Thanks

Paul

Well I've found that it is a Slip Yoke Dust Cap Assembly. Northern Drivetrain lists like 30 different ones. Anyone know which one is for my driveshaft?
