Ohh they(GM) did not use a D44 in 85 only Corp axles They stopped using the D44 around 76-77. They also didn't use a 12 bolt in 85 They stopped using it by 81-82. If that's what they are then they were swapped in.

Not trying to be a jerk, just what you have is not as it came factory and I'm pointing that out.

Why must you post all this stuff when I can't buy it? I want that SM465/205, the 14BFF and the D60 ahh! No money! Actually a HD Dana44 would probably work for 35's fine.

What do you mean by rear drop bumper? I'm planning to take the rear bumper off my 85 and its a chrome diamond plate step bumper. I think it may be bent though, too big thats why i'm gonna take it off and put a fab'd bumper on.
