65 c10/ 67-72 compatibility?
So it has ben a while since here been workin a lot and I mean a lot but I found a little time to work on my 65 c10 short box step side.
I want to install a 4 link back half with coil over's in it to handle the power I am laying down these days and I want a big tire truck for the strip. Now with that being said, I am having one hell of a time finding a welded 4 link frame kit but I have found them for the 67-72's quite a bit. I know they are very close and not that far apart frame wise but I just want to find out from the experts and BAM! here I am in the right spot asking. So, Will a 67-72 4 link back half frame kit fit like it should under my 65? |

The '63-'66 frames are pretty much identical to the '67-'72 frames. I would recommend checking with Art Morrison.

Agreed. Cab back they're basically the same.

That is awesome. You have no idea how much that help a guy out. Thank you very much. It is now time to get her as seriously fast as I can before I get too old and start rethinking my ways lol. I am swinging for the 9's this summer. I will be happy with a 9.99 to start with this summer.
twin turbo intercooled 355,EFI,20 plus pounds of boost, TH-400 3500 stall, (if it holds up with a big tire and a hard hook) Thanks again. |

To go along with the four link you are going to want to ad a cage to it. Put solid cab mounts in it and tie it together. The frames in these trucks have a lot a flex in em. What state are you in.
