Side fender emblem mount
I ended up replacing my front fenders with after market fenders and after installing fenders/ inner fender I noticed there wasn't any holes in the fenders for the C-10 bowtie and upon further inspection after fender installed, there is no access to back of fenders to put nuts on emblem if there were holes to install emblems !
So, I really don't want to take fenders and inner fenders back off. It was a bugger getting holes to line up in the process. I remember on one car I had the emblems were held on with metal inserts that fit into hole and emblems push fit into them. I can't remember what car they were on though. Any ideas what would be easiest way to make this work out? I'm sure this isn't the only time someone had this happen. I do want my side emblems on fenders. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated....Thanks!! |

Re: Side fender emblem mount
You are looking for "barrel clips". Search around and you will find them as I cannot remember the size needed, but 3/16" (1/4" hole) comes to mind. These same clips are used (or can be used) to hold the tailgate latch rods to the release handle mechanism.

Re: Side fender emblem mount
While I'm picking your brain; this might be even harder, but when I bought a after market hood I noticed it didn't have any holes for the CHEVROLET letters, I was told that none of the after market hoods had these holes. I had resigned myself to not using the letters on hood, but if there was a way to mark where exactly those holes would be I might like to reconsider. Any ideas or help will be
a great help. Thanks again!! |
