Vapor line

My 68 has a blocked off vapor port on the gas tank bung. This line comes out of the tank beside the fuel line. I was wondering if I could use this as a return for my Fi Tech efi? Or if I need to make a hole and use the bung that came in the kit. Thanks

Thumbs up Re: Vapor line

Yes you can use it. Just some info you may need to think about though. If using stock tank with stock sending unit the gas will run away from the pick up inside the tank when fuel level is low. Not good for the electric fuel pumps. The return line will put bubbles into the gas which also isn't good. Recommend you put a hose on it on the inside at least 3/4 of the way down into the tank to keep aeration down to a minimum. Stock gas tank has no baffles inside it so that is another problem when low on gas it will slosh around in the tank.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Vapor line

Thanks Andy4639. I never thought about the aeration but I did think about noise of the fuel constantly being squirted back into the tank. A line going down to the bottom would help with both.
