1972 k20 4 inch lift rear axle placement
Hello,
In setting up a rear 4 link with a 4 inch lift do you set the wheelbase at 127 inches (long bed) as measured from the front spring center pin? Does this center the rear wheel in the wheel opening? Thanks, Gene |

Re: 1972 k20 4 inch lift rear axle placement
Probably a good place to start. All the stock 67-72 4x4 trucks I have seen set the rear wheel slightly forward in the opening. Seeing as the 4 link is custom work, It would be advisable to tack all the mounts and bars in place then cycle the suspension with the sheet metal in place before burning everything in.

Thank you, Richard very good advice. The frame is upside down in a jig at the moment so that is a little difficult to do.
