NH Brand new SS vented Gas Cap

Just bought this from GMC Pauls and it's the wrong cap for my tank. Below is the description from GMC Pauls web site. This is the 72 cap for the smaller neck opening. Measures about 1-3/8" across the neck opening.

67-70 or 71-72 Gas Cap Stainless Steel Each
309864 67-71 or 72 Stainless steel non-locking gas caps. Please specify year group in cart as these do differ based on the following information- 1971 trucks without EEC should use 1967-71 version. 1972 with original EEC tanks should use 1972 version as these have a smaller gas fill opening. Neither of the caps we carry are correct for the Reproduction EEC tanks available. Those with original style 1971 EEC gas tanks and all EEC reproduction tanks should locate and purchase a Stant Part # 10704 at a local auto parts store. $8.00
