Have a white painted gas cap with that very same small center circle. Not sure what it came off of originally. Can you show a pic of the back side or the diameter of the tank portion? Will have to actually dig it out of the parts stash. Have been slammed with some brutal below zero temps and wind chills along with snow for the past 11 days.

Unfortunately I never had one in my hand before. I looked long and hard for that picture. Maybe there is someone who is knowledgeable that can help?

Not sure if it matters to you or not , but that cap was never used on any 60-66 off the assembly line. Its a later GM Service part. 65 could have had a cap with a large round rivet or the 66 style with indentation

Pete, couple pics of the white gas cap I have. Looks to be a repaint from on edge it seems might have been a maroon color originally. Back side measures 1 1/2'' in diameter and 1 13/16'' from lock tab to lock tab. Inner seal is intact. Again, not sure what original application was. $15 shipped to your door if it works for you. Money order or $$, I don't have Paypal.

Ironhorse (or anyone else), if you have another cap like that I would be interested. Don't care about color/style as long as it's old, not chrome and fits a 65 Chev K10...thanks.

67JimmyMO, don't have another painted cap but do have another gas cap, stainless steel, not chromed. Driver quality, not sure what original application was. Will bring the parts thread back to the top and you can look, see if interested. It's in the 67-72 parts forum, "Misc Parts-$15 Shipped" . Same $$, $15 shipped.
