Any flexible transmission cooler lines
Put an LS into my 72 Blazer with a rebuilt TH350 and used a Dirty Dingo crossmember. Time to hook up new stock cooler lines and there is no way possible with this set up. Anybody recommend a flexible line option.
Since I have the new pre bent and can't send back can I use a combo of braided/hardline to get around the crossmember/header trouble spot. Last edited by hubdawg; 02-17-2021 at 08:38 PM. |

Re: Any flexible transmission cooler lines
That’s exactly what I did on my Jimmy build. I used Russel Proclassic hose and flared sections of the hard line to adapt to it. There are some pictures on pages 2 and 3.

I used hydraulic hose and fittings. 3/8 hose with #6 ends. Do it once and you'll never have any issues. Fairly cheap too.

I did this too. Too many hose clamps that failed or slipped and hard lines are just a pain.

I also use hydraulic hose for the high pressure power steering hose. The aftermarket hoses are all Chinese, and most are crap. It's just one less thing to worry about.

Re: Any flexible transmission cooler lines
I made my own hard + soft lines that go from my trans to a stacked plate cooler.
Here's that post. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...smission+lines Here's one of the soft lines I made.
