a arm ques
are the a arms on disk brakes the same as drum brakes on the 71 truck frame mine has the steel cut from the bottom arm (where the rubber stop sits)would you advise replacing it?

The arms are the same either way, inspect those arms and get it welded up if it can be done right with safety in mind.
