Barn door latch drainage?
Dear All,
Eventhough i changed all the door gaskets, whenever it rains there is a puddle of water accumulating in the bottom of the latches.. Is this normal? Should there be a hole for drainage? Shall i just drill one or two holes? Thanks for help.. []

I have the same problem with my '67 Panel Truck. So far I have just been drying it out after it rains. I really can't see a problem with drilling a couple of small drain holes, one in each inner corner. LockDoc

Re: Barn door latch drainage?
It's not just barn doors, my Burban with the hatch and gate collects water there too. And it eventually works its way into the spare well. I have debated with myself whether to drill a hole or not.

Re: Barn door latch drainage?
Thank you for the replies..
I think I also would be in a long term debate.. Burb is freshly painted a few months ago, but already started to rust on that portion while it has been away for some work (unfortunately stays outside).
