Shoulder belts in jimmy
Have a 1972 jimmy with a four wheel camper on it going to use more this and would like to make it safer with newer shoulder belts. I found this but don't no how they will fit or if they will get in the way when getting in on the passenger side.
Thanks Garycontent://com.android.chrome.FileProvider/images/screenshot/16150395691801238289746.jpg

Re: Shoulder belts in jimmy
I see why you would have to make a bracket they won't be a strait bolt in. Is their enough room to bolt the out side ones to the floor.

Re: Shoulder belts in jimmy
The passenger lower belt retractor need to be mounted behind the seat on the box floor right by the "B"pillar. There's not enough room to mount it in the original location on the cab floor because it would be too difficult for passengers to get in the back. On the driver's side, I used the original mounting location on the cab floor.

Re: Shoulder belts in jimmy
Thanks for the information. I have to worry about the camper so I won't be able to mount it to the rear bed floor going to go out and look at it to see where it can be mounted.

Re: Shoulder belts in jimmy
My 70 Blazer came with a roll bar, but it's not stock, nor do I know if they even came stock with a roll bar. The roll bar that I got with mine is set too far back to put a shoulder belt, so I got seats from a 2001 Tahoe that has the shoulder harness built into the seat. I had to make new mounts to mate with the stock mount configuration, but it wasn't too bad. I guess I will keep the stock seats just in case I ever decide to sell it.
