Trailer Hitch
I’ve got a ‘72 C20 Highlander that I want to install a class IV or V hitch on. I’ve looked through some old posts and found a couple of options - DrawTite, Curt, and B&W.
I saw a post with a very nice looking B&W HDRH25122 on a 72 but according to their site that fits a 73 but they don’t list anything older. Anyone having a good or bad experience with a hitch? Thanks! |

Re: Trailer Hitch
Had a friend give me a hitch off a squarebody. Modify it to fit behind bumper. Cut a hole for 2inch reciever hitch in bumper, flip down plate from 85 regal upside down. When I need to tow, raise plate up, insert hitch and go. I have lowerd truck 4.5-6. I keep waiting for someone to see my crome bumper with no hitch showing to say...If you can hook to it, you can have it!!!!Hasent happend yet.

Re: Trailer Hitch
I have been searching for one as well for my 67 c20. I tried a Curt hitch based on frame width but it won't work with the factory overload springs.

Re: Trailer Hitch
Yes, coil spring truck with the partial leaf as an overload. That would be great if it works! I've used the reinforced bumper receiver a few times to tow my car trailer but I would sure be more comfortable with a solid hitch.
