Help with exhaust manifold replacement
Hi I have a 69 c10. I have a crack in the passenger side exhaust manifold. I would like to replace it with a set of shorty headers. The engine code has CUB LM1which is 1977 350 nothing special engine. Does anyone have any suggestions? If not headers then a decent rams head?

Re: Help with exhaust manifold replacement
Do you currently have rams heads? If you go headers you'll have to make several other changes including how your exhaust system connects to the manifolds/headers.
I bought a set of ceramic coated rams heads on Summit, but they're the 4x4 style. You can order aftermarket manifolds and then paint them with exhaust manifold paint if the rust bothers you like it bothers me. I think that's the path of least resistance, but if you'd like to make some changes, it's a good time to do it. There are a lot of threads on the forum and online debating headers and if they even have any positive results, but I'm not going to dive into that.

Re: Help with exhaust manifold replacement
Thanks after doing some searching I think getting some dorman rams head is the way to go. I plan on just doing some high temp black paint on them.

Re: Help with exhaust manifold replacement
The GM engineering dept did a great job designing the rams horns manifold. Lots of options on replacement today.
