ANOTHER Brother's Trucks Screw up?
I ordered a tach kit from Brother's Trucks awhile back. When it showed up, the gauge lens was just tossed in the box and allowed to rattled around during shipping, so of course it was all scratched up. When they sent out a replacement lens, I realized the first scratched up one wasn't even for a tach cluster anyway. Jeeze, nice job Brothers.....
Fast forward to today. I'm finally installing this set up in my truck and figured I'd test out the new LED bulbs (Thanks for the tip Andy!) before finalizing the install. Imagine my surprise when I saw this. The lights themselves look amazing, but what the heck is with the empty gauge pod next to the Oil Pressure gauge???? It turns out the Brother's part has a hole stamped there for a gauge, which is incorrect. Here is the original non-tach gauge housing. See the blank spot next to where the oil pressure gauge would be? Here is a close up of the installed gauge panel with the lights off. Gaping hole! Grrrr..... So, is there an easy fix for this, or does this mean I get to endure another hour long call with Brother's to get them to send out the correct part? Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

That is for a tach/vacuum setup. Is that what you ordered? or did they send the wrong inner tin?

Re: ANOTHER Brother's Trucks Screw up?
I am headed out to the shop to check mine. I can see where this is easy to miss. Good news is I used a different company, Classic Parts. I do know the tachometer parts were packaged nicely. The hole if for a gauge cluster backing plate is for one with the vacuum gauge.
Brothers has moved off my preferred list of vendors. They aren't the worst. CJ Pony Parts is. I did opt for the 8K tachometer as my motor is an LSX. I believe the stock red line on a Silverado is above 6K. |

Was this a mistake or are they all like this?

Re: ANOTHER Brother's Trucks Screw up?
I don't think they all are that messed up. I will check mine tomorrow, but I checked it over when it arrived. Compared it to the original side by side and I don't remember seeing any looseness like what his is showing. Likely more than one manufacture out there.

Re: ANOTHER Brother's Trucks Screw up?
If this was bought as a kit, then they sent you a tach/vacuum tin by mistake. The lens is for just a tach without a vacuum gauge since it has the dummy markings on it for when there is no gauge in that lower inner right gauge location.
