how hard would it be to swap in a 2002 ford lightening motor into my truck? I know its ford, but those are sweet motors. Any opinions?

It would be a tremendous amount of work, not only in the Fabrication process of Motor Mounts, tranny mounts etc. but in the change over of the computer, and wiring..
But you're right !! It is one sweet, bad assed piece of machinery... This one reminds me of the old 302 Boss Engines. Ron |

Why not go the Ls1 route? I think if you put the Ford motor in your truck, it will kill any resale value if something came up and you had to sell it.

Trader! Don't even think about it chevy makes much better and cheaper motors. You could probably buy the 572 gm crate motor in for the time and effort it would take to get the ford junk to work! The only ford stuff I will use is a starter solenoid and a 9 inch rear. They have to get a couple of things right!
