A-pillar stole my bolt
I was taking off door hinge from the body and almost had the bolt out from the inside when some Gremlin grabbed it and swallowed it down the A-pillar. Is there a way to get it and where did it go. I can use another bolt but was just wondering if you can get it out. I know someone will say drill a hole

Re: A-pillar stole my bolt
You could try one of these Push button reach tools.

Re: A-pillar stole my bolt
I had that same gremlin that grabbed mine too! There is a grommet that is on the lower rocker panel ( I think that’s what they call it), between the panel and fender. I took the grommet out and use a snake camera from Autozone, that you can rent. Once I could see it on the camera, then I used a extension magnet and was able to get the bolt.
This is the left side, the grommet is what I’m pointing to. Between the fender and door gap, you can see it.

Gaurenteed if you can’t find it or find it and not get at it that some day you’ll hear a ping-ping as it disappears out the back while on a quiet cruise.

Re: A-pillar stole my bolt
I agree, I like to reuse as much original hardware as possible and that would drive my OCD nuts
![]() one of those flexible grabby fingers above might work but since it's carbon steel might try flexible magnet pickup tool.. good luck! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0861...XC8Pp13NParams ![]()
