Arrow Front end choices.....what do you think?

I'm debating what I want to do w/ my front end. Keep in mind, I'll be adding a Goodmark cowl induction hood too.

1. Phantom billet grille and painted bumper.

2. Stock headlight bezels, billet grille, and chrome/painted bumper.

This is the current setup.

i'd say go with a stock 81-82 2 headlight front end, and stock bezels. everybody has 83+ front ends, or Burb front ends. dare to be different.

Personally, I don't like the 81-82' front end at all.

Here would be my second option.

Here's mine.

Personally I don't care for the phantom look, but go with whatever YOU like. Everything we do to our trucks is total fun.

Well since you asked for our input and in no way am I putting anyones ride down, but my personal preference is, I'm not wild about Phantom grilles. Everyone who has a dropped truck with square headlights is going with a Phantom. Also, the only chrome I like on my truck exterior, besides mirrors, is the front end. So a painted bumper would be not my choice. But hey, it looks cool. This is what makes this hobby so much fun. We don't have to be like everyone else. We can do our own thing.

The prior owner works at CSU and I found this picture on their website. I'm having the bags redone at Aftermarket Wholesale (They advertise in Street Trucks).

Mike---I agree that phantom billet grilles are too common (Exactly like my wheels!). I'm leaning towards the stock front end with billet grille and painted bumper.

Thanks for the input guys and keep it coming!

I like the 83-84 front the best, with the dual headlight option and the trim painted body color

I have decided on option 2. After looking through 100+ 73-87' pictures on my computer, 75% of them have phantom billet grilles.

Now, should I go with a chrome or painted bumper? I'm leaning towards a shaved and painted bumper.

TIMSPEED---Thanks but the wheels are going.....soon.

I like the phantom look but I question if your going to get hassled by the cops. I Want a bilet for my 88 DD burb and hauler but I don't want any hassles with the law. Looksl ike I'm going with just the center billet and the stock headlight garnishes.

Same set up BaggedC10 post a pic of.

I've never been a fan of painted bumpers. Our bumpers are too big and stick out. If there was a way of using a smaller, less noticable bumper it may look great painted. I think being the way they are, chrome looks better. I've pondered the idea of a shaved and rechromed bumper myself. I know though it's a lot of money to invest in a bumper, but hey, it's only money, right?

It's all these details that make a so so truck into a winner. I've got a long way to go with mine to get anywhere close to a winner.

I'd get a chrome bumper too. That's ME. Like the others have said, do what YOU like!

I'm split on painted bumpers. Some trucks look great w/ them and others don't. I think my truck looks so-so w/ it painted.

IMO, if you decided on option #2, then the chrome bumper would look good on there.
