Bucket Seat Mounts

Hi everyone, wondering if these are correct for the low back 73-77 bucket seats, they look a little different from others I have seen... the ones I am familiar with don't seem to have the little arms that come down on each side.

I have heard of people passing off later suburban bucket mounts as the correct ones for my application, if these are them - but they work - I am fine with that, as I am not picky but if anyone who is in the know could clarify I would appreciate it.

Re: Bucket Seat Mounts

that looks like what I remember I have in my 88 suburban, no idea if it'll work with your buckets.

So it would appear that what I have a picture of was a Suburban mount (as v30crewcab points out). I suppose it could probably be made to work for my 73-77 buckets, but if anyone has experience with that please let me know.

There is someone that makes the mounts now. Kenny Whitman on Facebook, he can probably help you out with questions or supplies.

Yes he is. I have bought several items from Kenny, no seat mounts, but other things. Always have good dealings with him.

This is actually my photo of some brackets I sold a while back. They are what you need to install factory bucket seats

Re: Bucket Seat Mounts

I have a 69 and I have late 80 early 90s suburban buckets, will these brackets work?

Should work great I think, as long as you can do a little welding. Pics would be great, as I am sure others are thinking of doing something like that.

Re: Bucket Seat Mounts

I'm eventually swapping some lowback buckets into my truck. I made some brackets to bolt the bench seat tracks to the buckets. I have these mounts from a 89 Suburban that should work fine. They look similar to what your picture is.

Welding is not a problem, certainly have those skills honed for the past 30+ years. I'll have to pull out the existing seats and do a test fit

They won't work for you. a 1969 has a flat floor and squarebodies have a raised floor. A really nice option for the 67-72 trucks is 88 and newer non squarebody bucket seats

Those are the correct brackets. Do you have pictures of the brackets you made to bolt the bench seat tracks to the buckets?

the 88 up seats need no mount fabricated if you find a set and the lowbacks look very similar to OEM buckets. If you can't find 2 buckets, you can use the 2 small sides of 60/40 splits as they are actually buckets
