New build parts questions

Hello doing a new build and have a few questions.

Who makes the best bolt kit for a complete build? Prefer black bolts where they are black (wheel tubs example) Zink plated where they are around core support etc, proper dash screws, heater control screws, all lexterior lights, shock bolts, hangar bolts etc etc.

Also who makes best Trim package? Lower, upper and around lights? Best wood trim dash bezel and glove box wood trim decal.

Should I convert to rear disc brakes.

Best Park brake cables and hardware?

Best mirrors closest ot original and good qualitg

Seat - Has anyone retrofit an original seat to modern day foam that can use original seat covers?

Best riding lift for k10 Sb 4-6" with 35-÷36" tires

Converting to rear disc brakes, IMO, is more for bragging rights than functionality. Most of the braking is done up front and the rear drums are very adequate for doing their job. With that said, I have a 67 Mustang with rear discs, but they came on the rear end I installed from an Explorer. There are some advantages (like ease in replacing pads), but not really worth the money if you are converting.

Mar-K has the best quality reproduction trim.

Look to "Inline Tube" for parking brake components.

I rebuilt my seat with foam from American Cushion Industries. It is nice and cushy, and the fit was excellent.

Best Park brake cables and hardware?

My emergency cable (front) from inline tube. Almost perfect. The hole for the pin was 5/16" and should have been 3/8". Easy to drill out. Even with the one issue it was great and even included the rubber sleeve to keep it from rubbing on the inner fender and a new retaining clip.

I used amkproducts.com for the bolt kit. Pretty darn good not perfect. I can recommend them as they responded to my inquires and do continue improvements.

Thanks guys! Hopefully more chime in as Information on good quality is the hardest part. Im writing these in my book for future use. Frame is off getting blasted and powder coated, cab is coming along as well.


Going to buy a complete box with wood floor, how many have used Mar-K and or other options. They probably are all built by same company and labeled differently?
