Looking for a 71-72 K/20
I’m looking for a NICE driver 71-72 K/20 (or K/10, if it’s a LWB). Rust free for sure and original paint is preferred, but a repaint in factory color(s) is acceptable. I do not want a show truck or something so nice I’m afraid to use it. I missed out on Joesjunk’s 71 K/20 last week and that is exactly what I’m looking for. Blue is my favorite color but at this point any factory color will work. Must have auto trans and AC (AC doesn’t have to work, but all parts should be present). No cut dashes. Doesn’t have to be the original engine but I do not want a big block that was swapped in. Cheyenne or Super is preferred or Sierra/Sierra Grande. I’m not looking for a “steal” and will pay a fair price for the right truck. Figured I’d throw it out here and see if any member has a nice one they are looking to sell or knows someone. Craigslist, EBay, etc seem to be full of nothing but dealers who know nothing about trucks and want ridiculous money for them. Same ones reposted week after week. I have cash and want to deal with the owner/private party. Please PM if you have any leads. Thanks!

Most K-20's I see are so roached out, they are nothing like should be, or they are way over priced and still a mess. Id give a limb to have my 70 K20 back.

Re: Looking for a 71-72 K/20
Yes they are hard to find! I looked for awhile for exactly same as your talking about & they were either too nice to actually use with $70k+ price tag or trashed. We ended up converting a C20 to K w 1 ton running gear and just building what looked for & couldn't find. When we finish (have goal of by Oct this year) I plan on keeping it forever!

Re: Looking for a 71-72 K/20
Thanks y’all ! I had a project K2500 that I sold a while back because I just don’t have the time for one anymore with work and 4 kids with sports/activities. Sold off most of my spare parts too and plan on buying a nice truck. I figured on going to the Pomona swap meet next weekend but with Covid restrictions not being lifted until June 15, they cancelled it until August . I will be on a cross country road trip then so I won’t be able to make that show either

Re: Looking for a 71-72 K/20
I was wondering what weeks I needed to figure on working this year. (Inside joke with Scott. I don't work. I tried it once, and didn't like it.)

Re: Looking for a 71-72 K/20
Thanks, that one has been for sale a loooong time. No AC. It also has rust that is not shown in the pics. Pretty close though.

I'm glad that "Blue" doesn't meet your standards.

Re: Looking for a 71-72 K/20
I saw that one too. It’s a little more rough than what I’m after, though the price does reflect that. If it’s on Craigslist chances are I’ve seen it or called on it. I posted a thread here hoping that a member has one or knows someone that does. Thanks for the input and heads up though, it is appreciated.

Re: Looking for a 71-72 K/20
“Factory 4x4, AC, 350, auto. Original paint. Runs and drives. Good for restoration. Needs tailgate, bed floor and one rocker. Low mileage original truck.”
Sounds like work to me. I feel the same way about work as you do

You guys are making me feel better about my K20.... and missing it more. Still in paint jail but it's finally in re-assembly.
