Door window bump stops
I know that there was a thread about his before. I think I even commented on it but I can't find it.
I am looking for the bumpers that are mounted inside the door that keep the window from rolling down too far. |

Re: Door window bump stops
Are you thinking of these? That go inside the door that the window rests on when opened. This is what I used on my 66.

Re: Door window bump stops
It's a single stop in the door below the glass, it has a hole in it for a rubber bumper (stop). I showed it in the assembly manual in one of these threads (page 361, item #4). Where to purchase - https://www.steelerubber.com/multi-p...per-33-0459-42

Re: Door window bump stops
Were you the one discussing this on a different thread?

Re: Door window bump stops
I could not find the bracket in the door of my 62. I am trying to figure out how to keep the window from going to far down into the door. When I took my electric window mechanism out to fix a different problem the window now goes even deeper into the door than when I took it apart. It still rolls all the way up which is good. I probably will have to take it apart again.

Re: Door window bump stops
Is there a way to place a stop on the power window track?

Re: Door window bump stops
It has a Scissor type mechanism. Vary similar to the original type. The only track it runs through are the two on both sides that the original window runs through. I was thinking I might try to add some type of stop on one of those.

Re: Door window bump stops
I just looked in the Truck Shop catalog and found the "door window stops" p/n 60-07601.
