Carpet padding?

Im back on my C30 and Im wondering what I can put down on the cab floor under the carpet that I would be able to pick up someplace locally.

Not looking to glue or stick, nothing permanent. Just want to have a semi thick pad under the carpet.

Ive had the carpet laid out inside the cab for months so it conforms pretty decently. All Ill end up having to hold in the carpet for now is the door sills and the seat sliders.

I have seen some of my friends use the Roof underlayment.

You know, Like you get at the Home Improvement stores.

It will conform to the ridges and humps.

It would be a chore to work it in is what I always thought

I don't know how it worked out for them in the after-fact though.

I always appreciate your suggestions, helped me many times!

I have some of that underlayment stuff you are talking about, but this time I just want something to lay over the metal bumps and such to make a uniform pad that the carpet can lay on. Not looking for any noise or heat resistance. If it gives a little of that, that's fine, just not the end game.

Something I can cut in chunks to make fit and use duct tape to keep it together where its been cut apart. Some sort of rubber mat ... Ill have to check out Lowes, since I work there haha.

I would probably try your local carpet store.

They have several different types for different flooring options.

That stuff goes from very thin to thick.

Good grief, what an obvious idea. Sheesh I bet we have that stuff at work considering we sell and install carpet. See .. I told you I get good ideas from you =)

We get a 10% discount on employee sales. Here that equates to same as our sales tax, but Ill take it!!!
