Stake pocket plugs / covers ?

So, I scored a mint Truxedo tonneau cover. It's off an 08 - 13 Ram 8' box.
Width at front was perfect, length perfect, but it tapers about 4" narrower at the back.
No problem, I trimmed down a 2x6 to fill the gap and it will be fine.
It's a budget hobby truck anyways.
Problem is the holes on the fleetsides for the stake pockets are going to let water in.
Does anyone make a fancy plug or cover?
If I can't come up with a plug for the square holes I might fashion a black plastic cover to go down the whole top side.
Suggestions appreciated.

Re: Stake pocket plugs / covers ?

I believe LMC and Classic Industries sells them. Probably some others also.

Re: Stake pocket plugs / covers ?

Take a look at Summit Racing. In most cases they give the size of the pocket hole and in others they give the size of the cover. On some they give both.
My 2018 Ram has rail covers with holes smaller than the actual stake pocket holes. I did not want to cut the rail cover so I chose pocket covers that fit the exposed hole.
I originally bought Trans-Dapt because they were sold in sets of six and because they had four sided attachment and should have provided a tight fit.

Big mistake. The plastic is very hard and very brittle. I broke the first one. I trimmed the remaining 5 for an easier fit and still broke 3 of those.

I then bought 2 sets(4 each )of the TruXedo pocket covers. More pliable and I have 2 spares.

4" narrower at the back? The cover or your bed?
I git a BakFlip Cover for my '18 Ram. When I fold all four sections forward, they are stacked with the exact same width. i would expect a cover for a '13 Ram to not have a taper either. Measure your bed rails. how well does the tailgate fit?

Re: Stake pocket plugs / covers ?

The truck is a 67 GMC.
The cover is off an 08? Ram. It's narrower at the back.
I bought some Erickson flip up stake pocket tie down things. I figured that would be more practical than a plug and still keep water out.
They fit the back 2 pockets but the middle and front will need some " massaging ", the inside part of those pockets seem smaller.
