In Bed Spare Tire Mount Location ?

I really never realized that my C/20 had it until I saw it listed on the SPID. It’s located in the rear, behind the wheel well on driver side. Looking closely I see no holes drilled anywhere up front where I thought they where originally mounted. The bummer is mine was welded in place long ago...thanks

I think it varied. Some in front of the wheel well.

Re: In Bed Spare Tire Mount Location ?

I believe mine is in the original location, driver’s side in front of the wheel housing.

This is correct. The bottom of the bracket uses the factory holes used to secure the bedside to the bed floor.

Left Front is correct.

Also - they weren't welded in place, which is another clue that tells me someone relocated yours, probably for farm use to accommodate a tool box or fuel tank in the front of the bed.

I added my own in, driver's side in front of wheel well. I tried it in the passenger's but it created quite a blind spot.

Re: In Bed Spare Tire Mount Location ?

You guys are correct ! After looking closely I finally noticed the two holes up front on drivers side. I actually like having it located where it is. Now I just need to find the proper style bolt needed to secure the spare...
